Calvin ~ Such the comedian - named perfectly (after Calvin & Hobbes). His laughter is contagious and he always does what he can to amuse others. For Christmas he got "Funny Teeth" from his Aunt Kendra and Uncle Brian. They were/are a HUGE hit! Not a day goes by when he doesn't want to wear his "funny teeth".

At Calvin's 3 year check up he was excited to hear that he was a BIG BOY and a very SMART BOY from the Doctor.

Here are his 3 year stats:

38" tall

34 lbs 8 oz

Funny Calvin-ism:

This morning Calvin's devotion was about the story Jonah and how he disobeyed God.

We read the story (the childrens version) and then I was telling him the importance of obeying God (and parents/authority).

I told him the reason why Jonah was swallowed up by a whale because he disobeyed God and had no intention of doing what God asked. But when Jonah asked for forgiveness and was ready to obey... the whale burped Jonah out.

I then explained that when he disobeys Mommy or Daddy he gets in time out or sometimes gets a spanking for making a poor choice. We always love him and that will never change... but it is very important to obey.

Then he has this puzzled look on his face and asks, "So... a whale will follow be around and eat me up in my penguin pajamas (that he was wearing during the devotion) when I disobey God?"

I replied with a chuckle, "No, honey. I love you too much to let a whale eat you up... that only happened to Jonah."

I hope he doesn't have a fear of whales now!!
